When you’re under stress, your body signals its nervous system and pituitary gland to produce stress hormones, and when it happens the liver produces extra glucose or blood sugar.

These hormones include glucagon, epinephrine (adrenaline), norepinephrine, cortisol, and growth hormone. They cause the liver to release glucose and the cells to release fatty acids for extra energy. If there’s not enough insulin present in the body, these extra fuels can build up and lead to hyperglycemia.” (American Diabetes Association).
If you feel stress, find ways to relax yourself. Beside other treatments you are doing like; healthy diet and regular exercise, relaxing is a must to relieve from stress.
It is normal for people to sometimes feel stress and anxiety, but it’s not normal for people to response positively.
We can only alleviate stress by a positive attitude in responding to life’s ups and downs situations.

Positive attitude is a confidence that life’s downs situations are only temporaries, then focusing ahead to the hope of bigger victories. That’s how you can relax from stress and eventually avoid the rising of your blood sugar.
2. Take time for regular exercise.
Ask an advice from your doctor about the right amount of exercise or what type physical activity you are to undergo; especially if you have Type 1 diabetes. Maybe walking, weightlifting or housework would be safe for you, because some exercises maybe unsafe especially if you who have a low vision or have nerve damage in your feet.
Physical activity can help you taking control of your diabetes and prevent diabetes problems; it helps your blood glucose, also called blood sugar to stay in your target range.
Physical activity can also help the hormone insulin absorb blood sugar into all your body’s cells, including your muscles, for energy. This means building and using muscle through physical activity can help prevent high blood glucose.
