I am sure; you are now excited to see your website or blog online up and running. Get ready!
There Are Two Possible Ways In This Blogging Tips And Tutorials
The first one is MUCH easier than the other; I would honestly prefer the first one especially to the new beginners.
Let’s start on the first one:
#1. One Click Install
Let’s assume you are now already with your Bluehost CPanel.
Bluehost has integrated a 1-click-installation for WordPress and other applications, which makes getting going very quickly.
If you need a Bluehost web hosting account or you may have it already but don’t know how to login go to my other page. Bluehost Web Hosting Guide
If you already had a Bluehost account or on any other similar hosting company, you should find your “1-click-installation” in your account control panel or Cpanel.
The other way of installing WordPress to any web hosting is somewhat difficult for the beginners. However, if you want to adventure knowing that you can able to do it, then it’s your end, read How To Make A Website Step By Step Guide For The Beginners.
#2. Manual Install (if needed)
If for some odd reason (some hosting companies don’t provide one-click-install for WordPress) you don’t have the possibility to install WordPress automatically.
Since Bluehost has no problem with it, you must skip this way. For more details of that go to my other page at How To Make A Website.
WordPress Welcome Page
Once you installed your WordPress on Bluehost, you will see the welcome page and form to fill-in for your WordPress account.
You must keep your username and password you have provided for future reference. That’s the one you will use every time you log in to your WP account.
If you want your site indexed by the online search engines like Google, leave unchecked the box at “Discourage search engine from indexing this site” blank. However, if you don’t like your post is indexed by the search engines check blank.
Click install WordPress after completing your application.
Login to your WordPress account
Once the installation is successful, a screen may appear for you to login to your WordPress dashboard.
Your username or email address and password you provided a little while ago on your WP installation are all important to login to your dashboard. Fill in the blanks.
Your WordPress Dashboard
You are now ready to post your content, but before that, you must install first a theme or your website design on WordPress.
By the way, there’s a default theme already installed that needs for you to customize.
Click Customize Your Site so that you can choose what design you like that suits your eyes and arrange links you want people to browse on your site.
Choosing – A Theme For Your Site
Once you have successfully installed WordPress on your domain and clicked the customize your site you’ll see a fundamental yet clean site:
But you don’t want to look like everyone else, isn’t it? That’s the reason why you need a theme – a design template that tells WordPress how your website should look.
Here’s where it gets fun:
There are thousands of awesome, professionally designed themes you can choose from and customize for a site that’s all your own for free.
Access To WP FREE Themes
Once you’re in the dashboard, you’ve got access to over 1500 free themes! Just look along the sidebar for “Appearance,” then click “Themes.”
If you want something more professional or elegant than what you find here, you can head over to ThemeForest.net where there’s a HUGE library of themes to pick from at varying costs.
But before you do that, I suggest you at least try spending some time browsing the free themes. Many of them are really professional and well made; so don’t write them off.
Install your theme you have selected
You should also look for themes that are “responsive,” as this means they will look good on any mobile device.
Choose a theme you like and click install. After that, you are ready to go posting your first content or blog.
Changing theme is easy
Changing themes won’t delete your previous posts, pages, and content.
You can change themes as often as you want without having to worry about losing what you have created.
I did a lot of changing many themes with alrenpages.com for two years. I started with free which I learned a lot in coding. Thanks to the blogging tips and tutorials online and some Ebooks I have read.
